This Series I Jaguar E-Type with a 3.8-litre inline six-cylinder engine, mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox from a later 4.2-litre car, with the correct transmission included.The exterior aesthetics, including panel gaps, trim and trim are in good condition. A stainless steel exhaust system has been fitted.The beige soft top is accompanied by a matching roof rack. 15-inch Dayton spoked wheels with Osborne imitations are shod with BFGoodrich Silvertown radial tires with white sidewalls. Wilwood front calipers and perforated Classic Jaguar brake discs have been fitted, while the rear calipers have been refitted. Adjustable shock absorbers with Classic Jaguar billet heads are fitted throughout.The 4-speed gearbox, from a 4.2-litre car, shifts well, thanks to a first gear synchronizer and a high-performance flywheel. The original transmission, which matches the numbers, is also included in the sale. The odometer shows 73,120 miles and is believed to be correct.The 3.8-liter inline-six engine has been upgraded with a newer alternator, aluminum radiator/fan, and Pertonix ignition system. A compression test was recently performed, which showed consistent readings across all cylinders.
