This 2019 Ford F-550 Super Duty XLT is a Canadian-market example that left the factory as a crew-cab chassis and was converted into an overland camper by Adventurer Manufacturing of Yakima, Washington. A pass-through connects the cab to the living quarters, the latter of which features a driver-side slide-out, a kitchenette, a dinette, a bathroom, Dometic climate control, a Jensen entertainment system, and multiple sleeping areas. Other details include a solar panel system, a generator, a power-operated side awning, utility connections, a Hammerhead front bumper, and a rear spare tire carrier. Powered by a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 linked to a six-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, the truck rides on DBL Design 20″ forged wheels and suspension with DBL Design and Fox components.
The green wrap is complemented by black trim, and exterior details include front wheel arch extensions and fender liners, a Hammerhead Armor front bumper, running boards, and a receiver hitch. Imperfections are presented in the gallery below.
The camper shell is equipped with a driver-side slide-out as well as a power-operated fabric awning, retractable entry steps, clearance lights, a rearview camera, roof-mounted solar panels, and utility connections. External hatches provide access to compartments for storage and equipment, including a Cummins propane generator.
DBL Design 20″ forged wheels are mounted with 335/80 Continental MPT 81 tires, and a matching spare is affixed to a rear carrier. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, and the truck was equipped from the factory with a trailer brake controller.
Components from DBL Design were used for the suspension modifications along with Fox Racing 2.0 shocks, and a revised sway bar was also fitted.
The living quarters feature seating trimmed in black upholstery along with woodgrain flooring and cabinetry. A EuroLoft bed lift is installed, an additional sleeping area is situated over the cab, and the sofa and dinette convert into sleeping areas. The kitchenette is outfitted with a range, a sink, a microwave, and a refrigerator and freezer.
Bath appointments include a toilet, sink, and a shower. A Dometic climate control system is installed, and controls for the lighting, solar panels, generator, awning, and ancillary components are mounted beneath a Jensen head unit.
Upholstered in Medium Earth Gray fabric, the cab features seating for four, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, SYNC infotainment, and a bulkhead pass-through.
The multifunction steering wheel frames a digital display surrounded by a 200-km/h speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts. The digital odometer indicates 30k miles, approximately 750 of which were covered under current ownership.
The 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 was equipped from the factory with remote start, dual alternators, and a block heater. Output was factory rated at 330 horsepower and 825 lb-ft of torque. A compliance letter from Ford Motor Company is presented in the gallery below.
The drivetrain has a six-speed automatic transmission, an electronic dual-range transfer case, and a 4.88 limited-slip rear axle.
