This 1967 Shelby Mustang GT350 was built on March 22, 1967. Power comes from a rebuilt 289ci K-code HiPo V8 engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in dark moss green over black vinyl. Features include factory disc brakes and front power steering, shoulder seat belts, folding rear seat, tachometer, interior trim, and courtesy light clusters. A brake cleaning and oil change were performed in August 2020.
The car has been repainted in Dark Moss Green Metallic (2039-A) with white stripes on the rocker panels. The hood, front bumper, and fenders, doors, and side vents are protected with a clear paint protection film. Shelby-specific details include a fiberglass hood and trunk, an integrated rear spoiler, side vents, interior running lights, and taillights sourced from the contemporary Mercury Cougar.
The cockpit is trimmed in black vinyl with matching carpets and textured seat inserts as well as aluminum trim on the dashboard and door panels. The car was equipped from the factory with the interior decor and courtesy light groups, an AM radio, an integrated Shelby roll bar, shoulder harnesses, and a fold-down rear seat. A dealer-installed air conditioning system was removed under previous ownership.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer with an optional trip odometer, while Stewart Warner gauges for oil pressure and amperage are mounted below the dash. Just under 73k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer.
The replacement K-code 289ci HiPo V8 was overhauled by Richmond Engine Rebuilding of Surrey, British Columbia in February 2019. The work included installation of forged Mahle pistons as well as new main and rod bearings, a Comp camshaft, a roller timing set, and more as shown on an included invoice. An oil change was performed in August 2020.
The ten-spoke aluminum wheels wear Shelby center caps and new BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires with embossed lettering. A matching spare tire with Goodyear rubber is in the trunk, along with a jack and wheel wrench, and a set of vintage Goodyear Polyglas tires are included in the sale and can be seen in the gallery. Power steering and front disc brakes were factory options. A brake fluid flush was performed in August 2020.
