Seller's Notes

This 1967 Porsche 911S is a European-market coupe built in November 1966. A restoration was carried out about 10 years ago and included a repaint in the factory Light Ivory color. Ventilated brake discs were also installed, along with a remote-controlled oil cooler, Nardi steering wheel, Recaro sports seats, custom 15×7″ Fuchs rear wheels, Turbo torsion bars, and more. A flat-six engine with a displacement of 2.5 liters was chosen for the build, as well as an Electromotive twin-spark ignition system. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox equipped with shorter gears and a Quaife limited-slip differential.

Finished from the factory in Light Ivory (6604), the car was placed on a rotisserie during the restoration and was repainted. According to the seller’s father’s contemporaneous account of the restoration, which can been seen in a thread here, rust repair was done on the battery area, rear windows, and one seat pan. The rear decklid and lower valence were also replaced, though the removed items are included in the sale.

Exterior brightwork was re-chromed during the restoration, and a Talbot sideview mirror has been added. A new windshield also was installed. The seller notes that the paint has started showing discoloration, and those areas are marked with blue tape in close-up pictures in the photo gallery below. There is also some corrosion around the fuel filler neck, and the hood has several flaws under paint.

The front wheels are 15×6″ Fuchs, and the custom 15×7″ rears were reportedly modified by Boyd Coddington. Hoosiers tires are mounted all around, and a second pair of 15×6″ Fuchs is included in sale. The car has been lowered to Euro ride height and is equipped adjustable spring plates out back.

The Recaro seats were upholstered using materials from Autobahn Interiors of San Diego, California, and the removed seats are included in the sale. Replica four-point Repa harnesses have also been installed along with Coco mats. A Halda Tripmaster is mounted on the dash fascia but is not hooked up. The refurbished stereo is demonstrated in one of the videos below.

A three-spoke Nardi steering wheel frames green VDO instrumentation, which was redone by North Hollywood Speedometer and includes an 8k-rpm tachometer and a 250-km/h speedometer. Total chassis mileage is unknown.

The replacement 2.5L flat-six features twin-plug cylinder heads and is paired with a Type 911/01 five-speed gearbox with a 904 main shaft and a Quaife LSD. An Electromotive ignition, Elephant Racing cooling system, and sport exhaust system have been fitted. A new battery reportedly was installed in September 2019.
