This 1964 Porsche 356C coupe is finished in Bali Blue over a tan interior and features a factory electric sunroof. The numbers-matching 1600cc flat-four is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox, and the car reportedly received over $50k in mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment under the third owner, the . Approximately 300 miles have been added since the seller’s acquisition in early 2017, and nearly $10k in additional mechanical work has been performed during that period, including new wiring, a new battery, and a rebuild of the sunroof motor.
The car received a bare-metal repaint in the original Bali Blue during the refurbishment. The original brightwork was reportedly re-plated and reconditioned at this time, and new rubber seals were used during reassembly.
A Reutter badge is applied to the passenger side fender. There are a number of minor imperfections on the exterior, which have been highlighted in the gallery below.
It appears that replacement floors have been installed, and the seller indicates that there are patched areas underneath. There are also some rust spots and inconsistencies in the paneling, which are shown in the set of photos above.
Originally trimmed in a black leatherette, the interior was reupholstered in tan with an oatmeal carpet during the refurbishment. A Blaupunkt radio, black rubber floor covering, and three-spoke wheel have been retained, and a small tear is present in the passenger seat backrest.
New wiring has been installed during the seller’s ownership, and the sunroof motor was also overhauled. 1,000 miles are currently shown on the odometer, which reflects the miles driven since the rebuild.
The 616/15 1600cc flat-four was balanced and blueprinted during the rebuild, and it is paired to a 4-speed manual transaxle. A new wiring harness and replacement battery were added by the seller in 2017.
